well, last week i was working on creating the birth announcements for one of shawn's clients and today they came in the mail. the finished product turned out great! not too shabby for my first photoshop project.

today was a gorgeous spring day! i spent the day downtown watching street performers and hanging with friends. a little hat shopping too. oh and auntie anne's pretzels, yum! :)

today my dad turned fifty...it stinks that he was sick on his birthday, but at least he was starting to feel better. and such a pretty little cake would make anyone feel better!

today the order from my tupperware party i had a few weeks ago arrived...this made me quite happy! this is what it looks like in one giant mound in my entryway. can't wait to make everyone happy and deliver their goodies to them...or to order more tupperware from the 2 parties i am attending this week!

(sidenote: i also joined a group on flickr called 'today's random fact' and the idea is that each day you post a picture and with it, a random fact about yourself. this was mine for this picture today...

these are the cards i completed today with lauren, we had so much fun crafting and the boys had a lot of fun hanging out. we ended the very productive day with some yummy fried chicken at hickory dicks. we love to take new people there! such a great weekend so far!

today the move and relocation of my scraproom is complete, and tonight i get to break it in with lauren, so excited. hoping the move will encourage me to use my stuff more often and get back on the scrapping train.

1.30.09...shawn won a happy hour from the howl at the moon piano bar, so we invited everyone we know to have a fun evening out with us. and it proved to be just that! this would be leah, myself, and shawn's boss, ray's wife, leigh on stage showing everyone our wonderful version of "head, shoulders, knees, and toes". fun, fun stuff!

2.6.09...tonight was yet another craft night, trying to do those often, it's really nice for everyone to get together and be crafty! tonight we were all lacking in inspiration and ideas, so we put on some 90s music and busted out the perler beads, which were a huge hit! we spent hours making all sorts of different creations, including jackie and mitra's sushi sets. these were my creations and i love them all!

2.16.09...today we concluded an awesome weekend away at deep creek with a trip to swallow falls to see the waterfalls in winter. it was really pretty, and really slippery, the whole park was covered in ice! and i fell...again!

here is a posting of all of the random 365 pictures that i have taken over the last month+, i was trying to keep up for awhile then i got stuck in a rut of winter blues. so this is my attempt to get it going again. i am going to post one post of all the missing photos that i did actually take and then i will start over again. a fresh start with the coming of spring.

1.17.09...went out to ropewalk tavern in federal hill to celebrate jackie's 24th birthday, we had so much fun! finished the night off at broadway diner

1.18.09...shawn and i went to a meditation class tonight, it was a very new experience and one that i enjoyed very much. afterward, we went to starbucks for a warm drink and some debriefing on the class

1.19.09...today was a day off work for martin luther king day. then we were blessed enough to get a little bit of snow, not a whole lot, but it makes everything really pretty

1.20.09...Inauguration Day...today was quite the historic day, one of those days you will always remember where you were when...barack obama became the first african american president of the united states. since i was unable to take the day off work, when we had a delayed opening because of yesterday's snow, the kindergarten team decided we would watch as much of the inauguration as possible with our students. i was worried that i wouldn't be able to watch it live, but it worked out quite well.

1.25.09...well this is my brother, chris, the funny thing about this picture is that this is after he gave us all a good scare choking on a piece of steak at outback for dinner. that may not be the funniest part. this is only one day after he attended the polar bear plunge and got his foot run over and couldn't plunge because the state troopers had to take him to the ER and he was then on crutches. he was fine after both incidents which is the only reason it is funny. we have been teasing him that he has a stroke of bad luck because his birthday is falling on friday the 13th this year.

1.27.09...today was especially nice because we were released early from our professional development for snow! so happy about that, and it's a day we don't have to make up at the end of the year!

1.28.09...school was cancelled today, which was so nice! our first official snow day. since it was shawn's work from home day today, we decided to take a winter walk this afternoon to go take some pictures at falling branch waterfall. it was cold and started raining midway through, but it was still kind of nice.

i sincerely apologize for leaving you feeling so unappreciated and unwanted. the winter blues have gotten the best of me.

last night shawn and i were on our way home from my mom's and we got a flat tire while we were on 95. we were only two exits from home, it was very dark, and around 20 degrees.

fun stuff.

well shawn did a great job of changing the tire and it really didn't take that long, but i realized just after he finished that it was just after midnight and i had a unique picture of the road signs we were stopped in front of. so that's the story behind today's picture.

tonight while we were hanging out at mom's we decided to try a "picture of you taking a picture of me" photo. since we are both doing the 365 project, we thought it would be funny to each use these pictures today. we have so much fun together!

tonight shawn and i met bert and leah at red robin for dinner and catching up. it was a much needed visit, we have all been so busy and it has been hard to find time to get together. those two are such a big part of my life and i need to spend time with them every so often and it was nice to get that chance tonight.

tonight was the first meeting of our new stamp club cycle. we made three really cute cards and had a really nice time. there are two newbies to our group and they are lots of fun. i look forward to more of these meetings.

shawn and i at a sunday night family dinner. this is something new we started within the last few months and have really been enjoying. we try to get both of our families together every sunday night for dinner, and it is always a lot of fun. we both really look forward to this every week.

i started a new project today. this is inspired by and coordinated by emily falconbridge, and you can check it out here. she is a very cool artist and scrapbooker.

so it is basically a question about yourself every week for a year. you answer the question in a mini art journal kind of format.

tonight shawn and i got to watch over sami while andy and nikki went to dinner. she is such a joy, she was not happy when they left, in fact, she cried almost the whole time they were gone, but after they got back we all spent some time hanging out and chatting and sami turned her charm back on. she is wonderful and amazingly cute and i am so happy that andy and nikki choose us to get to spend some extra time with her every now and then. we had a lot of fun spending time with their family.

i took this tonight while i was waiting for shawn in the car. i love this new coat that i found at express on sale after christmas. i had been looking for a new coat for a few months, but found nothing that i liked, then i found this coat, i will have to take a better picture of it at some point, but this was a quick self-portrait for tonight. the first self portrait of my 365 project this year.

ahh, tetris! this was the first real video game that i had as a kid for my original nintendo game boy. it has always been a favorite of mine, so when i saw it in the app store for my iphone, i knew i just had to have it!

tonight was a very lazy night. my sinuses were bugging me all day at work and the kids were exhausting today. it was cold and yucky outside, so i came home and parked it on the couch all night. i made dinner for shawn and i before he got home and then we spent the evening watching tv, a movie, and then we decided to make some new mii characters for our wii. this guy was one of our new additions. it was a lot of fun.

(i am also secretly, well not so secretly, hoping that something will freeze overnight and we will have the day off tomorrow!!!)

tonight shawn and i played a lot on the wii fit. it was a lot of fun trying to beat each other's times and scores and trying to unlock new games and exercises. so far there are a few balance games that i like and the yoga poses are cool. i also love that it tracks your weight loss goals and does a body check everyday to test your progress. i am not sure how accurate it really is, but it is a lot of fun and makes you feel somewhat accountable for doing it everyday.

tonight we celebrated courtney's birthday with the whole gang, and the grimes', at outback steakhouse in canton. we had a very nice dinner and it was nice for us all to be together on courtney's actual birthday! happy 14th baby sister! (gosh i can hardly believe that!)

tonight shawn and i went to howl at the moon, a great piano bar in downtown baltimore. we were joined by jackie, and our friends evan and noelle. we decided that we should definitely a try a bucket drink while we were there, and that's what this is. it was not the best drink, but it was a lot of fun! we finished the night off at max's in fells point.

today was another sorta lazy day. i spent most of the day in front of the tv, working on to do lists for the new year, catching up on my blogs, working on laundry. when shawn came home from work he joined me on the couch and we downloaded some new music and watched some music videos online together, basically geeked it out all evening.

today i spent the day with shawn and his family for a pj's new year. it was a ton of fun! everyone hanging out in their pj's watching movies (grease and dirty dancing) and playing games. eating a ton of yummy food and and snacks. so i got to sit around in my sock monkey slippers and veg all day. what a relaxing and fun way to start the new year.

start of a new year...

well with the start of a new year comes a lot of new projects. this year i am quite determined to stick with my 365 project that i began and then neglected last year. it's going to be a lot of hard work and a lot of toughing it out, but i am determined!
